• BT inspires careers in education by encouraging and preparing talented high school and college students to become teachers and leaders in education.

The Students

• 200 middle school students served annually and an additional 200 graduates in high school served by supplemental College Bound program.
• BT students are now drawn from over 40 public schools and represent a mix of academic achievement levels and diverse socio-cultural and economic backgrounds.
• 70% of students are on free/reduced lunch. 45% are from single parent homes. 47% speak English as second language. 90% are students of color.

The Teachers

• 75 outstanding, talented high school and college teaching interns served annually and representing similar demographic backgrounds of our students.
• Recruiting New Teachers ranks BT as the top pre-collegiate teacher recruiting/prep program in the nation. Princeton Review ranks BT as one of the top-10 college internships in the nation.

The Results

• 85% of BT graduates enter college preparatory high school programs such as MAST, DASH, Gables and Coral Reef IB programs, etc.
• 99% graduate high school on time. 85% attend 4-year colleges. 95% pursue post-secondary educational opportunity.
• 75% of BT teachers pursue careers in education upon graduation from college.
